The ice axe GLADIATOR VARIANT is constructed for the new trend of the modern style of ice climbing, dry-tooling and competition climbing. It can be used for climbing on mountains.
The main advantage is a new geometry of the shaft uniquely shaped into the “S” and an anatomical rubber handle with a finger rest that enables different types of grips and the leashless climbing. The “S” shape minimizes the cant of the ice axe when holding the pommel or above it. This fact enables a stable pick placement and comfortable ice axe holding during risky movements.
